The TQMC801 is a single-width QMC module conforming to the VITA 93.0 standard for small form factor (SFF) mezzanine modules. This QMC module features a 1000Base-KX Ethernet interface, making it a robust choice for embedded systems that require reliable and deterministic networking.
At its core, the TQMC801 integrates the Intel I210IS Gigabit Ethernet Controller, which is accessible via PCIe and paired with a 16 Mbit Serial Flash to support PXE and iSCSI boot functionalities. The module supports advanced networking protocols, including IEEE 1588/802.1AS Precision Time Protocol (PTP) and IEEE 802.1Qav Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) traffic shaping, with support for additional software extensions.
The Software Definable Pins (SDP) of the Ethernet controller are connected to the QMC’s I/O connector, enabling auxiliary device connections for IEEE 1588 applications. Network activity is easily monitored through onboard LEDs that display real-time status indicators. Additionally, the module includes an I²C-based temperature sensor, providing thermal monitoring of the board.
