Uwe Tews Inducted into the VITA Technologies Hall of Fame
We are proud to announce that Uwe Tews, founder of TEWS Technologies GmbH, has been inducted into the VITA Technologies Hall of Fame.
This recognition honors individuals who have made a lasting and significant impact on the open standards embedded computing industry. Since founding TEWS Technologies in 1973, Uwe Tews has been a strong advocate of open architectures and modular embedded I/O solutions, long before these concepts became industry standards.
Under his leadership, TEWS Technologies helped shape the adoption of open standards by delivering long-lifecycle, rugged, and flexible embedded I/O products used in defense, industrial automation, transportation, medical, and aerospace applications worldwide. His early commitment to interoperability and vendor-independent system design aligns closely with VITA’s mission and values.
The VITA Hall of Fame recognizes not only technical achievement, but also vision and influence. Uwe Tews’ contributions, ranging from product innovation to sustained engagement with standards-based ecosystems, have played an important role in advancing modular embedded computing.
This honor reflects the foundation on which TEWS Technologies continues to build today: engineering excellence, open standards, and long-term customer commitment.
