TEWS Technologies and Elma Electronic Announce Strategic Partnership in the US to Drive Innovation in Open Standards-Based Embedded Systems

TEWS Technologies has formed a strategic system integrator agreement with Elma Electronic US, a premier provider of open standards-based system integration and embedded platform solutions. The collaboration brings together TEWS’ advanced module expertise and Elma’s proven system integration capabilities to deliver greater flexibility, faster development cycles, and reduced integration risks for developers of critical embedded systems.

Through this partnership, TEWS and Elma will jointly support customers across a wide range of open architecture standards, including VITA, PICMG, and PCI-SIG platforms. Elma’s U.S. system integration business will offer integration and customization services for TEWS’ extensive product portfolio—spanning QMC (VITA 93), XMC, PMC, mPCIe, PCI Express, CompactPCI Serial, CompactPCI, and FMC technologies.

“This partnership unites two companies with deep roots in open standards and a shared commitment to engineering excellence,” said Tim Tews, General Manager of TEWS Technologies. “By combining TEWS’ advanced embedded solutions with Elma’s integration expertise, we give customers both innovation and confidence. Together, we can accelerate system development, reduce risk, and strengthen the open standards ecosystem for critical embedded applications.”

TEWS’ early leadership in QMC (VITA 93) —a new, compact mezzanine standard designed to address modern SWaP and performance challenges —complements Elma’s broad system integration experience in OpenVPX, SOSA®, and other modular architectures. Together, the companies will deliver solutions optimized for demanding applications in defense, aerospace, industrial automation, and research.

David Tetley, director, embedded solutions for Elma Electronic Inc., noted, “One of Elma’s differentiators is our extensive industry relationships. Working with innovative partners, like TEWS, enables us to provide best-in-class solutions for a wide variety of embedded applications.”

The partnership underscores both companies’ dedication to strengthening the open standards ecosystem, supporting the next generation of embedded computing solutions, and ensuring customers benefit from seamless integration and long-term product support.
