Laying of the foundation stone for new company headquarters
On Friday, 20th January 2023, TEWS Technologies GmbH celebrated laying the foundation stone for its new company headquarters at Eggerstedter Weg 14 in Pinneberg. A state-of-the-art new company headquarters will be built by the end of the year on the 6,700 m² site of the former Eggerstedt Barracks.
The investment in this project is the next major step in ensuring the successful continuation of the family business, founded in 1973 by Uwe Tews and built up over the following decades with his business partner Peter Zimmermann.
With a building area of 1,700 m², the new company headquarters offers sufficient space to meet the steady growth of recent years and the growing customer requirements. In addition, the location offers the possibility of further expansion in the future.
Efficient new building with sustainable concept
During the planning process, the company placed a particular focus on sustainability and the attractiveness of the new headquarters for its employees. The company building will be constructed in accordance with the energy-saving “Effizienzhaus 40” standard. Heat is generated via geothermal energy, which is supplemented by a photovoltaic system on the roof. The concept is completed by charging columns for e-cars in the parking lot.
Inside the building, state-of-the-art and attractive workplaces will be created, allowing flexible use ranging from classic individual offices to open space and co-working. The central contact point will be a generously designed cafeteria with a roof terrace.

From the very beginning, the issue of sustainability was a central component of our planning. Company succession successfully completed
Since 2022, the two sons Jan Zimmermann and Tim Tews have formed the joint management team, which they took over from their fathers as part of the company succession.

Creation of attractive jobs in the region
The construction of the new company headquarters and further expansion plans of TEWS Technologies GmbH create new attractive jobs in the region. For many years, the company has repeatedly offered young students the opportunity to take their first steps in professional working life with practice-oriented final theses. However, in addition to junior staff in the development department, the company is also looking for further reinforcement of the team in various other positions, such as order processing or quality management.
