TEWS Technologies moves into new company headquarters

After laying the foundation stone in January last year, electronics company TEWS Technologies has moved into its new premises in Parkstadt Eggerstedt. After just under a year of construction, the modern two-story building with an area of 1,700 square meters was completed at the end of last year.

“The move to our new company headquarters in Pinneberg marks a significant milestone in our company history. This is an important step towards securing the long-term existence of our company and provides the basis for further growth in the coming years. In this context, we would also like to thank the city of Pinneberg for its outstanding support in implementing this project.”

Modern workplace design promotes collaboration, innovation and well-being

In collaboration with the company’s employees and the team from GRS Reimer Architekten in Elmshorn, a new and modern workplace design that promotes collaboration, innovation, and well-being was developed and implemented.

An open floor plan removes physical barriers. Shared spaces allow employees to work together on projects. This not only facilitates communication but also promotes a sense of belonging. Flexible workspaces encourage spontaneous interaction between employees and create an environment where ideas can flow freely and be implemented.

When designing the new workstations, the focus was also on the well-being of the employees. Well-thought-out elements such as ergonomic furniture, natural lighting, and an open-plan cafeteria and roof terrace contribute to a positive and healthy working environment where everyone feels comfortable.

Sustainability at the Core

The new company headquarters was designed with sustainability in mind. From energy-efficient lighting to environmentally friendly materials, the Pinneberg-based company strives to minimize its ecological footprint. By combining geothermal energy and a photovoltaic system, a holistic approach to sustainability that goes far beyond simply reducing energy consumption was chosen.

In the new building, a geothermal heat pump system uses the earth’s stable temperature to heat and cool the rooms efficiently. By utilizing this clean and constant energy source, TEWS reduces its carbon footprint and ensures a reliable and environmentally friendly solution for maintaining an optimal indoor temperature. A state-of-the-art photovoltaic (PV) system harnesses the sun’s power and converts it into electricity via the solar panels installed on the roof of the building. This renewable energy source provides a clean and reliable power supply, reduces dependence on conventional electricity grids, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions.

“This comprehensive sustainability strategy in implementing our new building represents our values as a family business that takes responsibility towards the community and the environment seriously. By using these advanced building technologies, we not only want to secure the long-term existence of our company but also set an example for the responsible and environmentally conscious design of a new company building.”
